B.C. issues 79 invitations in Tech Pilot and Entrepreneur draws

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has issued new invitations under the Express Entry BC, Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration streams on December 1, 2020

A total of 68 invitations were issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories through a Tech Pilot draw.

In order to be considered under the BC PNP’s Tech Pilot, applicants must have a valid job offer in one of the 29 eligible tech-related occupations identified by the B.C. government.

A minimum provincial score of 80 was required in all four categories of the BC PNP Tech Pilot in this draw.

To be considered for immigration to British Columbia through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories, individuals must first create a profile through the BC PNP online portal and register under the program’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Candidates are evaluated based on factors like level of education, work experience, proficiency in English and location of employment.

Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from British Columbia will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and are effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a future federal draw.
